Our Somogy region has a lot to offer. Of course the famous Balaton where it is wonderful to stay in the summer, swimming, paddle boarding, sailing and surfing is all possible. If you want to go kayaking, we recommend the trips in the nature reserve of Nagyberek.
At 75 km from our location you will find the nature reserve Kis Balaton, an extensive nature reserve that belongs to the Balaton Uplands National Park. Kis-Balaton has such an important fauna and flora that it is a protected nature reserve. In combination with a visit to the largest water buffalo reserve in Europe and a city visit to Keszthely, this is a fantastic trip, which you can conclude with a delicious traditional dinner in the Gulya Csárda in Balatonszentgyörgy.
Somogy is the region par excellence for nature lovers, hikers and nature photographers. Discovering one of the many nature reserves in search of the kingfisher or a bee-eater, a ground squirrel or the beautiful Hungarian cow ... There is so much beauty to discover in our forests and who knows you might come across a deer, a roe or a boar on your walks.
