Siofok is the most famous city on the southern shore of Lake Balaton. It is mainly known by the young audience because of the many options for going out and the cozy party avenue. But Siófok also has a lot to offer for the less young visitors. Of course there are various shops, museums, cafes and restaurants. In the harbor you can book all kinds of boat trips or just walk along the promonade. The city also offers plenty of festivities in the summer, so it's definitely worth a visit.
Our capital Budapest is only 160 km away. With just under two hours of driving, it is worthwhile to visit what we think is the most beautiful capital of Europe. We may be a bit biased, but even after many years we still discover beautiful gems in Budapest. We provide a guide with walks and information in Budapest free of charge for our guests and of course we are happy to give you our favorite places. ee.
Kaposvár is certainly not the largest provincial capital in Hungary, but it is a very pleasant city. In the center is the cathedral and the pedestrian shopping street. There is also the new shopping center and the Plaza. Of course there are also cozy cafes and delicious restaurants. We recommend a visit to La Trattoria and for dessert around the corner at Gard'an. An afternoon in the swimming paradise Bloemenbad (Virágfürdo) is also highly recommended for the whole family.
